Holy Smokes BBQ

I had low hopes for this place as I don't think I'll ever find a BBQ place in Columbus, Oh. better than City BBQ, and I was right!  I got a pulled pork sandwich, cheesy potatoes and a cornbread.  The sandwich was ok, it had the sauce already on it or I could have gotten the plain pork and added my own sauce.  The cheesy potatoes tasted like the potatoes you would make out of a box at home.  The cornbread was ok also, but it was huge!  My hubby got the sampler platter, he got to choose 3 kinds of meat and 3 sides.  He got the plain pulled pork and added the sauce himself, pulled chicken, and the brisket.  The chicken tasted weird, almost chemically, I guess it was the sauce.  I didn't like it.  The brisket was really good.  He got mac n' cheese, beans, and chips for his sides.  The mac n' cheese was white and tasteless, the beans were different, they weren't baked beans like I'm used to, they had a ketchupy taste.  I had 1 chip and it was good, but some of them were soggy and really greasy, my hubby didn't like them and thought that they were old.  The meat was lukewarm.  City BBQ is cheaper and the food is way better.  Also, I don't know what kind of hippy drink containers they are using, but as soon as I filled up my drink the cup got squishy, like it was already starting to biodegrade in my hands.  The only cool place about this place is that you can buy funny named hot sauces.  Like sir farts a lot and queen of farts and cojones for $5 each.  You can also buy them on their website http://www.cajohns.com/ but they cost a little bit more.

Chicago Eateries

We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe with our friends that we met up with in Chicago for C2E2.  I got the "anti-cobb" salad, it was huge and delicious!  We also at at C2E2, the food was ridiculously priced, of course, and it looked disgusting, but it tasted fine.  They ran out of a lot of food and it was barely like 2:30 pm.  They also threw a bag of chips on my tray, that I assumed came with the chicken sandwich I had ordered, because I didn't ask for them, but later found out that they charged us $2.50!  We asked for a refund and finally got one after having to argue with the cashier and waiting for the manager to come from god knows where.  We also got some Chicago deep dish pizza from Lou Malnati's, it was the best deep dish I've ever had!  Not that I've tried a lot of them, just Uno's and the one at Pizza Hut.  Lol.  We got the "Malnati Chicago Classic," it had sausage and their famous buttercrust.  I don't even like sausage, but I loved this sausage!   "That's what she said."  Ha ha!  We also went to Miller's Pub, but the wait was 30 min. long, even on a Sunday night.  We decided to wait it out, and I got the best Shirley Temple I've ever had with 2 cherries in it!  But we were starving, so we decided to look for Panda Express around the corner, that I found on Yelp, but it was closed.  So we kept walking and found a Bennigans!

Logan's Roadhouse

I love Logan's Roadhouse!  I love that the name Logan reminds me of Logan's Run, I love that movie!  And the Roadhouse part of the name reminds me of the movie Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze.  And that fact that it's a steak house with decent prices doesn't hurt either.  I've been to the one at Easton, 3969 Morse Crossing Columbus, OH 43219, twice and the customer service there is amazing!  I love everyone who works there, they are all super friendly, even when they are hella busy.  And to top it off in the waiting area they have a giant barrell of peanuts for you to enjoy and the best part?  You get to throw the peanut shells on the floor!!!  Then when you get to your table they have a bucket of even more peanuts for you!  I think more restaurants need to have something for you to munch on while you're waiting for your table.  I've left so many because I've been starving and there is a wait time for a table, no matter how short it is.  Both times I've had the Teriyaki Club 8 oz. steak with a loaded sweet potato that has melted marshmallow and caramel sauce on it.  Both items are deliciously awesome!  If you sign up for their Nut-E club, you will get coupons and a free desert for your birthday.  It says you will get a gift for your anniversary also.  I love this place so much I might have to name my first born Logan!  Lol.

You'll find the food good and hot. Unless it's supposed to be cold.

Graffiti Burger

I recently visited the Graffiti Burger in Pickerington, Ohio. and it was magical!  The place is very cool looking with graffiti all over the walls and delicious food.  I ordered the graffiti burger and it was like biting into a piece of heaven!  It has zesty cole slaw, graffiti sauce, pickles, tomatoes, and American cheese on it.  It sounds like it might be gross, a burger with cole slaw on it, but it was soooo good!  Right before we ordered there was a girl at the counter that described the graffiti sauce as being like the big mac secret sauce.  I have to admit, I threw up in my mouth a little, at that description and I almost ordered something else.  But I'm glad I stuck with my original order.  Let me just say this, it is NOTHING like the special sauce in a big mac!  I freakin' hate big macs, they are disgusting and the sauce is what makes it so bad.  I can't believe she had the audacity to compare it that way.  She shouldn't be fired, but at least reprimanded.  lol.  Ok, I'm just kidding, I think I'm a little bit too extreme.  I also had the cheesy fries, with their signature cheese sauce, which tasted exactly like nacho cheese to me, but who doesn't like cheesy fries?  They were good also.  I didn't taste a shake, sorry.

If you live in or around the Columbus, Oh. area or are planning on visiting.  I highly recommend visiting Graffiti Burger, it's worth the trip!  There are four locations: Dublin, Grandview, Pickerington, and Clintonville.  Preview their menu here.  Hours are Sun.-Thurs. 11am-9pm, Fri. & Sat. 11am-10pm
